LaTeX problem

I noticed that when you use a dark background for your color scheme, LaTeX comes out looking really awful. Why does it do this?

Re: LaTeX problem

In order to make lines look good they are actually made up of darker and lighter squares, so LaTeX has options for "background" The color the lines "blend" to) and I chose the best I could (I tried various options).

The other way would be to force a white background around all LaTeX, which may look sub-standard to most people.

Re: LaTeX problem

How about making a blue background (ccccdd) instead of white?
That way it'll look no different to people using the default SleekBlue style, which I'd assume is the vast majority, and it'd presumably show up better to the dark-backgrounded people.

It'd probably still look a bit odd for those people, but you'd have that problem with a white box anyway. Is it possible to make LaTeX display differently according to what style is used?

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: LaTeX problem

Sorry to double post, but I did a screen capture for people who don't use dark backgrounds.
Yuck.
(EDIT: Hmm. I can't seem to upload images.)

Re: LaTeX problem

It just doesn't show up. (I'm assuming you're talking about the images) It's definitely under 1501x1501 pixels and 100 KB.

Re: LaTeX problem

mathsyperson - the problem is that all the LaTeX is generated and rendered as a picture-file (don't remember if it's png, or?)... Storage isn't infinite, and 3 different backgrounds means 3 times the space needed.

Try to save it:

(I found out it was gif)

Re: LaTeX problem

My OS (Windows XP) won't let me save it because it's a picture link to the LaTeX source code.

Re: LaTeX problem

Hi, nurshodiq, and welcome to the forum!
Here's a great site for LaTeX using: http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/Wiki/index.php/LaTeX:About
It sounds like you don't have the nessecary software on your computer. You need MiKTeX and TeXnicCenter to use LaTeX. Please download them in that order. The rest of the information can be found in the link above. I hope that answers your question. Please tell me if you still need help.
