If it’s a Hanyu Pinyin name, it’s probably Mo Xiu Ming.

I assumed moxium must have been an obscure verb.

I’m guessing the name in Chinese is

Mo is the surname (Chinese surnames always come at the beginning of the name), Xiu means “to cultivate”, and Ming (a very common Chinese part-name) means “bright”.

Then again, I might be totally wrong. It might not be a Chinese name at all.
