Newton's Second Law

1.  In the Newton's Law lab you are asked to perform an experiment and plot some data.  Suppose the 'Correct' form of Newton's Law were:

Fnet = Ö3*m*a

        and the mass of the system were 2 kg.

        What slope would be obtained when the data are plotted as described in the write-up? ______________

   2.

      Suppose your lab has twelve groups and nine of them find that the Newton's Law theory and experimental results agree within the Standard Error of the Mean (SEM).

    Would it be your judgment that:

        *

          all the lab groups were reasonably careful ___________?

        or

        *

          some of the lab groups were sloppy in performing the experiment ______________?

Re: Newton's Second Law

Fnet = Ö3*m*a  ?

(Use numeric keypad) NumLock On, In Windows, Alt-0214 is Ö in many fonts, which is 13 x 16 + 6, hex D = 13, hexD6, or 0xD6 is Ö
