Re: prove

Dear perash, you recently posted the same problem on MHF and you received an answer, did you see it?

Re: prove

Tony isn’t asking for help, he’s only posting the problem here for us to entertain ourselves with. I see nothing wrong with that.

Re: prove

Of course you should see something wrong with that.

Do you know www.mathhelpforum.com ? He's actually posting the same questions there and takin' solutions from another posters to show them right here.

Well, whatever.

Re: prove

Heh, I didn’t know about that forum before. But I don’t think the members over there are as smart as the members on our very own forum here. big_smile While browsing it for questions Tony had posted there, I noticed this thread, where someone is trying to solve the equation

. I couldn’t believe that nobody saw that the best way to solve the equation is not to expand everything out into a mess but to exploit the symmetry of the equation and use a substitution – in this case the equation is symmetrical about r−2, so the substitution is R = r−2. I had to register on their forum just to tell them how it should be done. tongue

Re: prove

Tony:

You might like to post your problems on this forum: http://forums.delphiforums.com/mathematica/messages. It’s a site set up by a friend of mine on Delphi Forums. (Note, however, that Delphi is extremely notorious for flashing whole-page advertisements full in your face the first time you click a link to any of their forums, which can lead people to think they’ve clicked on a wrong link or (worse) a spam link. Don’t be alarmed if you get a full-advertisement; you should be able to ge rid of it by clicking a "skip" or "no thanks" button somewhere, or by clicking the link again.)
