van der pol equation- with LaTex

so far i have attempted to solve this by locating the equilibrium point

where the equilibrium points are at y=0 and x=0

i need to make a linear approximation to the equation in the vicinty of the equilibrium point and determine the behaviour of the solution.

im not sure how to linearize Y
