The answer is tan(x)^0...

your probably right jane, although putting a degree symbol in doesn't really make any sense, the answer would be tan(x) whether it was radians, degrees, gradians or whatever.

I did think it could be the degree symbol, but none of the other answers in the question or exercise have it...
