discount

The marked price of a radio is Rs 650 .The shopkeeper allows 12½% discount on it .At what price does he sell the radio ?

i  could'nt do this because the discount is in fractions so have we to make it improper or what to do ?dunno

12 1/2 % = 12.5%

You can multiply the orginal price by 12.5% (.125) to find out the amount of the discount and then subtract that from the original price.   Or you can multiply the original price by 87.5% (100% - 12.5% = 87.5% = .875).
