countdown

I love countdown. Here is a few things I have done.

Not particularly. It's her job to think of answers to the numbers game if the contestants can't do it. She's no more of a showoff than the dictionary people.

A friend of mine has been to see a few shows while they were being recorded (as a member of the audience). Carol actually does have much more time than the contestants to work out the solution. In one numbers game (in which neither contestant got an exact solution), she was very close to an exact solution herself but needed more time; the recording was then paused for two minutes for her to complete her solution. That’s what my friend told me anyway.

I was in a pub, where some people were watching the programme, when I watched the last few minutes of the programme with them. About ten seconds after SPERMTEST was revealed, I got

I beat not only everybody in the pub but also the contestants on the show! tongue
