Urgent!!!

This is urgent.

If three fish and two portions of chips cost £6.75, and chips cost £1 less than fish, how much is fish and chips?

Yours urgently,

Re: Urgent!!!

questions belong in the help forum unless they're just for fun. Anyway, I'll assume we're talking about fixed portions.

Well if F = fish price and C = chip price, this problem states that

3*F + 2*C = 6.75
C = F - 1

two equations in two unknowns. Use substitution or elimination to solve.

A logarithm is just a misspelled algorithm.
