Lag?

I've recently noticed some lag in the forums. It's not related to internet speeds, but rather page updating.

One time I was browsing and saw new posts, but when I clicked 'Show new posts since last visit', it had not yet been updated (and this is about 1 hour after the new posts).

Another time, in fact just now, the blue square showed next to the 'Help me' forum, and when I clicked 'Show new posts' it had the link to the new post (by nelson12), but when I clicked directly on 'Help me' from the main forum page, there were no new posts!

EDIT: This post did not even show up when I posted it! I had to go to my profile and click 'show all posts' to even redirect myself back here!

Re: Lag?

Hmm, that’s strange. I have no problems browsing the forum on my own computer. neutral

Re: Lag?

Hmm... it seems ok at the moment, perhaps it was just my computer's fault hmm

Re: Lag?

Yes, possibly. It sounds as if your computer might be loading cached versions of the forum pages rather than the current versions.

A web browser should never cache a php page.

Re: Lag?

I was wondering if that might also have been a cookie problem. If you delete the site’s cookie while in the middle of browsing, could those problems have surfaced? neutral

I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
