Word problem #2

Last one smile

Lunch meat sells for about $3.00/lb. You use about ½ lb per day for sandwiches. How much should you budget for lunch meat over the next month (about 20 work days)?

Thanks a bunch, please explain how you did it so I can figure out the rest that I have.  smile

Re: Word problem #2

If you use ½lb for 20 days, then in total you will use ½ x 20 = 10lb.
As 1lb costs $3, 10lb would cost 10 x 3 = $30.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: Word problem #2

So you would write
1/2 X 20/1 =10
3 X 10 = $30
