geometric progression help

the first 3 terms , all positive , of a certain gp are x-4, x ,5x-12

find the value of x and the 4th term.




how do i find the value of x??? do i use the geometric mean ?

x = 6; the fourth term is 54, right? smile

If you find your answer is not the same as what you are looking at, simply go back to the question and double check with your own answer. If you find that all your working is correct, then it’s what you’re looking at that is wrong, not your own answer. wink
