It does that for me too, John. Also for 20, 22, and 26 decimal places with pi.

Investigation revealed that internally it was converting a long list of digits to scientific notation which then played havoc with the rest of the routine.

I came up with a new method which hopefully works. It does for me.

Please try heaps of random variations and tell me how it goes smile
