yes you can use the main signs add subtract multiply, divide not to sure weather too treat it as a logic problem?

((8 / 3) x 8 )+3=
= (2.6x8)+3
= 21.3 +3
=24.3 when u round it
≈24
or
((8x8)/3)+3=
=(64/3)+3
=21.3+3
=24.3 when u round it
≈24

Well, that would work, YiAnZ, if we are allowed to do rounding.
Are we, Steve123? And were you giving us a clue by saying it might be a logic problem? Is there a trick here?
I can get (8-3)*3+8 = 23 ...
And with an extra 3 I can get (3+3)*8/3+8=24
With some logic I could ignore a 3 and 8, and just use 3*8=24

no i dont think u can do rounding. this problem was set for my daughter.
i am told it can be done. it took the teacher 5 hours too sus it out. might be a trick question im not sure? help if you can thanks to all who have responded even those who cant add up properly. ha ha

you add 3and add on another 3 that makes six then ad 8 add 8 and that leaves you with the anwser.

And what level is this problem for? What symbols or functions would be known?

It seems to me that "Logic Problem" is a clue. It may not be solvable, I don't know.
