would like to know if I did this right: find the slope and y-intercept of the following equation:
2x- 3y =6
3y =-2x+6 y=-2/3x + 2 slope= -2/3 y-intercept =(0,2)

Your method is right, but you've got some of the algebra wrong - take it in nice, simple steps:
2x - 3y = 6
2x = 6 + 3y
2x - 6 = 3y
3y = 2x - 6
y = (2/3)x - 2
So, the slope is actually 2/3, and the y-intercept is at (0, -2).
