Business & Finance

When x number of units are sold, the price of each unit (in $'s) is given by p = -x/2 + 75. Find the unit price when the following quantities are sold: 2,7,9,11

Do I divide 2/2 and then add 75 to find P?

Re: Business & Finance

You divide -2 by 2 since your expression says -x/2.    The price of the product goes down as the number sold goes up.   Sort of a volume discount.

Re: Business & Finance

So -2/2=-1 add 75= 74
would that be 74 cents per unit?

Yes, for 2 units the price would be 74 cents each.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Heck, I'll take more than that.  Mark me down for a couple of thousand.   Put the check in the mail.
