Re: About this forumMy speciality at memory skills are with numbers and pictures. I'm good with words, too, but I'm better with numbers overall. #33 2006-10-18 08:54:18
Re: About this forumI'm not very good at remembering, that's probably one of my greatest weaknesses. #34 2006-10-18 20:19:11

Re: About this forumI never use mnemonics. Never in mathematics, it is easier just to remember them. It's like in music, at first you use mnemonics, but you get the hang of reading it like a sentence eventually. #39 2006-12-04 00:43:09
Re: About this forumwhats a mnemonic anyway? Presenting the Prinny dance. Take this dood! Huh doood!!! HUH DOOOOD!?!? DOOD HUH!!!!!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #40 2006-12-04 01:50:26
Re: About this forumMnemonics - A form of words or letters that assists the memory, (eg the rhyme beginning ‘Thirty days hath September’ helps with the number of days in a month, and the initial letters of the mnemonic Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain give the order of the colours in a rainbow. #41 2006-12-04 02:53:03

Re: About this forumYeah I've got an excellent memory for musical notes, but even though I've been reading for a long time, words have got to be the hardest things to remember, i think it's because you have your own unique way of talking and you change the wording of sentences to suit yourself. In maths you don't really have a 'unique' way of talking so to speak and so numbers are easier to remember because your own method isn't getting in the way of remembering the general method. Re: About this forumThat's more of an acronym than a mneumonic. Mneumonics are sentences where the first letter of each word matches the first letter of each word that you want to remember. Acronyms are simply the first letter of each word you want to remember strung together to make another word. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #46 2006-12-05 03:44:31
Re: About this forumThere are some useful mnemonics for e. #47 2006-12-16 22:31:45

Re: About this forumIn an attempt to steer this topic vaguely back to where it's meant to be, I will guess that Espeon's mystery word might be 'necessary'. But not necessarily. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #50 2006-12-17 11:48:07
Re: About this forum
She said she thinks it starts with an 'a' though. So, I will take a blind guess at 'association'. |
