Solve please

My teacher gave me this brain teaser question and i can't figure it out.
He gave us four number and you have to add subtract multiply or divide it to get 24.
The number are 1 6 6 8 and he need it to be 24.
You can only use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
You can also use the pharenthesis ().

I can't figure it out, please help me
Ps. Can you show your workings too.

Thank You

Re: Solve please

There isn't really a way to work this out, you just need to keep trying stuff until you stumble upon the answer. Try it for a bit longer, and if you still can't figure it out, then the answer's

You need to think a bit laterally.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
