Choose the right symbol - number puzzles
I have recently joined this site and have found the puzzles to be great. They get me thinking and some will be great for my year 7 students as they also enjoy a challenge. In regards to the puzzle "choose the right symbol", there is another solution. You could use a greater than sign 5>9 as this would also be correct.

But 5>9 (5 greater than 9) is "false"
