Hi;

This is an algebra marathon. In a marathon, you answer a question and the post another, the user below you will do the same. For example, if I posted problem 1 and user x posted the solution to problem 1, that same user would post problem 2, and so on.

User 1: Problem 1- What is 2+2?

User 2: Solution 1- 2+2=4

Problem 2- What is 4*3?

User 3: Solution 2- 4*3=12

Problem 3- What is 5-2?

...

Please keep this problems begging algebra level. Thanks!

Hi ImpossibleTriangle,

Welcome to the forum.

Could you give an example of things that would be allowed and things that would not, or maybe a syllabus?

Problem 2: Determine the roots of the polynomial .**LearnMathsFree: Videos on various topics.New: Integration Problem | Adding FractionsPopular: Continued Fractions | Metric Spaces | Duality**

I wouldn't call that problem basic, since it doesn't have integer roots. Here is what I what I post here:

Quadratics

Polynomials

Radicals

Rationalizing Denominators

Geometric+Arthematic sequences

All of these should be basic. Quadratics shouldn't need to use the quadratic formula like yours did. New problem 2:

What value of x solves this equation?
