Firstly, you'll want to find the slope of that line. Then, any line parallel to that one will have the same slope. Can you find the slope of the line with equation x + 2y = 3?

I really forget how to find the slope in this situation, I just know : the slope = Δy/Δx, I know that law but I don't understand it ,, anyway

second : I want to know why any parallel lines will have same slope? I need to understand this and to take advantage from this in the future ...

Let's look at this picture.

Any line of the form y = mx + c will have gradient m. The lines | and | have the same slope because one is the same as the other, just moved to a different location.

When you have an equation in point slope form like this y = mx + b then m is the slope.

so y= -1/2x + 3/2
is the slope -0.5?
