Riddle me this, Riddle me that...

1. When 1 door opens, 9 close. When 9 doors open, 1 door closes. What is it?

2. Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the english laguage. What is the third word? The word is something we use everyday. If you've listened carefully, I've already told you the answer.

3. There is a man crying at a funeral. You walk up to him and ask about the man who died. "I have no brothers or sisters, but the man's father is my Father's son." How can this be?

4. The police arrive at a crime scene where a man has apparently hung himself in a room with no windows. There are no chairs, or tables around, and there is water on the floor. How did the man kill himself?

5. Your mother's brother's only brother in law is on the couch. Who's on the couch?

6. The one who makes it sells it.
The one who buys it doesn't use it.
The one who's using it doesn't know he's using it.
What is it?

7. The paragraph below is most unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why?

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby, walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "

What is unusual about the paragraph above?

8. There is a corridor that leads into an empty room. The room is completely empty except for a lamp in one of the corners. On the other side of the corridor are 3 switches. You know that one of them turns on the lamp, the other 2 dont do anything. You can play around with the switches turning each of them on and off as much as you like, then you can go into the room 1 (one!!) time to check whether the lamp is on or off (there is a door so you cant know without entering the room). Leaving the room, you have to know which of the 3 switches works and which 2 dont.

9. There once was a strange man who loved wordplay, he had a very important sucessful busisness that would take insect shipments from all across the world and distribute them to zoos all across the US.

What is the name of his company?

Boy let me tell you what:
I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
