LOVE this site

I've just been to your page on standard deviations. Brilliant!

Great combination of stating the principle, expounding on it with great illustrations, and using an example to further make it clear.

I'm no math whiz (managed only 700 on the math part of the GRE decades ago). Your web site - at least the SD page - is what I needed when I was in school. Of course there was no internet then....

I'm looking forward to investigating your other pages now. Especially on geometry, a subject I liked a lot and often found useful in my wood working hobby.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us.

Hi;

Those pages were created by MathsIsFun. I use them too. Welcome to the forum.

I know the feeling, when I was being educated all we had was a half eaten banana and an old sock.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

An old sock?

Yes, it was a very poor neighborhood. Back then we walked with one foot being bare. In winter, I had to switch feet often to prevent frostbite.

Re: LOVE this site

hi Steve_K

Welcome to the forum.

One of my early posts was a long thread about the angles for making polyhedral.  Also I started a geometry contents page in the Maths Teaching Resources.
