Number Square PuzzleThis game is a little like Magic Squares, except the totals aren't all the same. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #2 2006-07-04 02:03:13
Re: Number Square PuzzleRod, Character is who you are when no one is looking. #3 2006-07-08 09:07:47
Re: Number Square PuzzleI love it!!! Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #4 2006-07-08 09:55:59
Re: Number Square PuzzleI completed it, but I think the answer is 'illegal' :] As it is now, you dont have to fill numbers in each rectangle. #5 2006-07-08 09:58:06
Re: Number Square PuzzleJust wanted to try again, to show I can make it without cheating #6 2006-07-08 13:23:54
Re: Number Square PuzzleWell done! So I guess I will have to "tighten the rules"? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #7 2006-07-08 20:10:14
Re: Number Square PuzzleThis is good, Rod! #8 2006-07-08 20:11:56
Re: Number Square PuzzleA solution could be to introduce a check everytime all the sums are correct, looking for unfilled boxes. If there are any, do nothing, if not - well done! #9 2006-07-08 20:51:40
Re: Number Square PuzzleTo answer both of you: "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #10 2006-07-08 21:08:44
Re: Number Square PuzzleI think your suggestions are good. I vote yes :] What do you mean by the gameplay not being obvious btw? #11 2006-07-09 17:17:28
Re: Number Square PuzzleIt's not too confusing. The only bit some people might have a bit of trouble understanding at first glance is use of the blue and red circles at the side of each line; and what the different categories mean. Other than that, I feel it's pretty much self explanatory. #12 2006-07-09 20:03:46
Re: Number Square Puzzle
OK, it must obviously be obvious "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #13 2006-07-09 22:07:15
Re: Number Square PuzzleI was just wondering: #14 2006-07-09 22:44:33
Re: Number Square PuzzleIt certainly should be more difficult! "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #15 2006-07-09 23:29:59
Re: Number Square PuzzleHow does it work btw? Does it make a 3x3 grid of numbers, calculate the sums and then only show the middle number? #16 2006-07-10 09:35:45
Re: Number Square PuzzleYou want me to give away *all* my secrets then? Yep. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." - Leon M. Lederman #17 2006-07-10 18:38:55 |
