What is wrong with math?

Algebra is awesome once you understand it all! I mean thee is a lot of formulas that you have to memorize and the tests aren't all thatgreat but I love math and also love Algebra!!! Next Year I will be in 9th grade and will be taking geometry.:D

Algebra is learning different methods to solve equations.  For example:

x + 5 = 15

Because both sides are equal, if I subtract 5 from both sides, they must still be equal, because I changed each side by the same amount.

x + 5 - 5 = 15 - 5

But 5 - 5 is 0:

x = 10

So we solved for x.  It gets a bit more complex than this, but that's the basic idea.

well to me math is easy no matter what grade you in and I also want to know what number theory is I've never heard of it
