I don't  get it? smile Isn't this just a 'pyramid'-ish setup? In my opinion, your drawings with 100 angles were alot better smile

Re: 10 is fun!

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10

1 point is a point
2 points make a line
3 points make a plane
4 points make a solid

10 points makes a ???

Here's some seven dot patterns to help us become like Rainman.

Re: 10 is fun!

Excellent answer, MIF.   23 times 7.
Also seven dots can also make the capital letter H, I just noticed.
xox
xxx
xox
Or a capital I:
xxx
oxo
xxx

Re: 10 is fun!

Here's some arrangements of five dots to process into your brain to
become super fast at recognizing them.
(Oh yeah, and it's really small so to save network space.)

Re: 10 is fun!

Using MSPaint, I discovered I can save more space by making it monochrome BMP and then change to PNG.
The two step saving saves bits by making it all black or white or something.

This time its not quite so small, so you may be able to see it without a super duper screen!

These are ofcourse patterns of sixes.   Enjoy trying to see if you recognize some faster than others.

Personally, the straight lines of them I think are the slowest for me, maybe another tenth of a second slower.

That's really good, but maybe just a *leeetle bit* bigger would be fine smile

And yes, the straight lines are a lot harder to count!

Re: 10 is fun!

Try to determine if each group is 6 or 7.
What is your approximate speeds?
200ms, 100ms, 500ms maybe for one that stumps you for half a second?
And if you want them bigger, just make'm bigger with mspaint.exe by zooming in, or maybe your browzer can zoom in like mine, "Opera" smile
And has anyone seen that smiley face?
I'll give you a clue.  It's not in anything that I have posted.
It's in someone elses....

Re: 10 is fun!

Guess if the top has more or fewer dots than the bottom.
Do you think they differ by many?
Make a guess and then check to see how you faired.
Let me know how close you came.

Re: 10 is fun!

Maybe I made the dots too small for you to see on your screen.
On my screen, I can actually count them.
It's not a fraction.  Above the line are a bunch of dots and below the
line are a bunch of dots.  I just wondered if you can estimate which
has more.  Are you saying that one has 1/5th or 20% more than the other Patrick?

Re: 10 is fun!

Back to the original subject at hand...
Here is a super object that has ten parts to it.
Thought you might have a use for it.
I like it because I can see it in my head, and
therefore might use it to remember a few digits
by putting certain sticks together to form an image.

Re: 10 is fun!

Here is an example of your
eight times tables from 2 x 8 up to 8 x 8.
I don't know if this will interest anyone,
but maybe, so here it is.
