Dr. Loh's Talk on Probability

'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.'
'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it'
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Re: Dr. Loh's Talk on Probability

Got around to watching the video with my brother.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

I had some negative opinions about it.

He should give a lecture over here in Vegas so I could attend and walk over to him and say, "I know you are good but how about coming up with real problem, an interesting one."

Re: Dr. Loh's Talk on Probability

What are the possibilities of winning two lotteries on the same day considering that 1) You are buying lotteries from Chris2  2) You can only start of with the number 1 and the number 0 as the last digits.

Here are how the lotteries numbers are formatted in my lottery
000000-000000-00
Where 0 can we 0-9

You can only start of with the number 1 and 0
which is
100000-00000-00
Where the digits in between the last can we 0-9.

The question is : What are the possibility of winning it twice.

Re: Dr. Loh's Talk on Probability

Always a 1 as the first digit and a 0 as the last? How many tickets do I buy?

You can only buy tickets with always 1 and 0 as the first and last digits.
