Radicals and Roots

I got everything on this lesson right except for one problem and I cannot for the life of me figure it out, help?

3. x^(6/4)

A 6/4x
B x^(2/3)
C 6x/4
D x^(2)
E x^(4/6)
F x^(3/2)

My first guess was D. I would like to understand how to do this sort of problem so if you could show your work that would be amazing smile Thanks

Re: Radicals and Roots

Hi;

The answer is F.

You can just reduce the ( 6 / 4 ) down to lowest terms which means dividing the 6 by 2 which equals 3 and then dividing the 4 by 2 which equals 2. So:

which happily is one of the choices.
