Hex DrumsHex Drums? Say What?? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #2 20060401 17:48:34
Re: Hex DrumsVery interesting, MathsIsFun! I tried different combinations at random, and enjoyed it! I'm sure all visitng the page would love it too! A link to Hex Drums may be placed on the index page, MathsIsFun! Character is who you are when no one is looking. #3 20060401 19:07:12
Re: Hex DrumsWow! It's cool! I'm going to have a play! #4 20060401 23:08:53
Re: Hex DrumsThanks, it was fun. Now I just need some more ideas ... hmmmm, maybe a random function could be fun? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #5 20060402 08:44:45
Re: Hex Drums
A speed adjusting slider, for changing the tempo? #6 20060402 09:30:15
Re: Hex DrumsYes, the tempo adjusting dial thing is a good idea. I don't think the random thing is though. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #7 20060402 10:22:36
Re: Hex Drumsjl: I don't know how to let the user adjust the speed! And thanks, I will fix that error. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #8 20060405 19:50:23
Re: Hex Drums"The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #9 20060405 22:17:24
Re: Hex DrumsGood pages, but there are a few faults with the converter. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #10 20060405 22:55:54
Re: Hex DrumsThanks mathsy! Lifesaver! I simply didn't copy a line of code to the right spot in the final version Attending to it now. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #11 20060405 23:13:27
Re: Hex DrumsSorry, but there are still a few minor faults in there. If the decimal box gets more than 15 digits in it, it tries to show it in standard form, but it does have anything to say "x 10^##", which makes it a bit confusing. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #12 20060405 23:46:14
Re: Hex DrumsThat's good. I will allow the letter "e" in the decimal box, that should fix it. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #13 20060406 01:41:15
Re: Hex DrumsHeehee, I found some more. Why did the vector cross the road? It wanted to be normal. #14 20060406 07:29:36
Re: Hex DrumsI have been relying on floating point arithmetic I may need to go to fullprecision digitbydigit conversion "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #15 20060406 16:11:47
Re: Hex DrumsMe like! Me make noise! El que pega primero pega dos veces. #16 20060406 16:27:24
Re: Hex DrumsHey, I just read the page. Is it supposed to end like this? El que pega primero pega dos veces. #17 20060406 16:30:41
Re: Hex DrumsOn the converter, I didn't find any errors, but I do have a suggestion. Would it be possible to make it type from right to left? That's the way binary numbers increase, so it makes more intuitive sense while typing even though on paper it may sound like a bad idea. El que pega primero pega dos veces. #18 20060406 16:43:44

Re: Hex DrumsThis is fun! Thanks Rod!
Maybe insert an 's' or rephrase the sentence? That's all. Thanks. #20 20060406 18:35:36
Re: Hex DrumsGreat! "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #21 20060407 02:05:47
Re: Hex DrumsGood ones, you guys! El que pega primero pega dos veces.
