Hi Agnishom;

I did, it is no longer there.

**In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.**

**I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.**

Hmmm, then there must be some word that is on the censored list.

Looks to me like the Beeb has taken the page down. Maybe someone complained or someone at the top said 'pull it'. The Beeb has been in lots of other media trouble over the last 12 months for what we might term 'sensitive issues', so they might be treading carefully.

I just love those tests. I got eyestrain from matching up the shapes, a headache from coming up with words that mean happy, and frightened by looking into eyes that were more sinister than Bela Lugosi.

The shapes gave me brain strain. It seems my dominant ability is to make flat pack furniture. Well that's nice; if I decide to get a proper job.

I forgot to mention, I had a hideous time measuring my fingers. What can it all mean?

I will have to ask Agnishom.

Of course I have a male brain. Do I need someone to tell me that?

The first time I tried that they told me that I have a non-male, non-female brain.

It was just perhaps a rhetorical question.

The test is highly chauvinistic and proceeds from false assumptions. This is typical in that field and pretty much in all the life sciences.

assumptions? They are statistics.

A famous teacher once told me, "figures do not lie but liars can figure." Statistics are often manipulated to make their viewpoint seem to be the correct one.

If you think so, then why do you think curve fitting is useful?

Experimental math teaches you to think for yourself. Something that is quietly being suppressed. Trust nothing that you can not determine on your own. If you follow that in all things you will be fine.

Trust nothing that you can not determine on your own.

What if I do not want to trust it because I cannot determine on my own?

Ah, a paradox!

Forget these paradoxes. Steer your own ship. But be balanced, ask for help when it is needed and follow good advice. Be resolute but not stubborn.

Be resolute but not stubborn.

Okay, same advice to you too.

The next will follow.

When am I being stubborn? Of course, I make mistakes. There are no perfect people on the earth. "All men make mistakes, some make more, they are called fools."

I do not know. When am I being stubborn either?

I could answer that but you would not agree so I will decline to. Judging you is not a job I am fit to do. I have an opinion of course but is it valid? Perhaps not.

I hope to show by doing, the same way I do math. Eventually, you, anonimnystefy, and others will realize a fundamental truth that has been staring you right in the face.

Hmm, in that case, you might have been stubborn too.

There is no judgement going on over here.
