Hi Guys,
My name is Brandon and I am currently in school studying computer science.
I was a very lazy and poor math student in high school. I guess the main reason was because I was never shown how cool and relevant math is (especially in technology and computers)!
In college now, I've learned to really appreciate math. It's amazing how often I come to mathisfun to learn the basic foundational stuff on which my advanced math and computing courses are built upon.
I hope to learn much more from this site and its members.

Hi brandondtran;
Welcome to the forum.
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

It's great that you have been able to encounter the great parts of math (one can argue they are all great, but a person does get bored when he has to solve 100 system of linear equations at school, which is what makes people dislike math).
Welcome, brandondtran!

hi Brandon
Welcome to the forum.
btw. You don't sound very old, if you're still in college. I finally escaped from school 4 years ago. (But as a teacher!)
