So

Note that 24 and 7 are the smaller two of a Pythagorean triple (like 3,4,5) so you can draw a right angled triangle with alpha in it and hence you can express any of the trig ratios using these numbers.

I don't know what went wrong while i was making it because the question was quite simple.:)
It happens many times with me that i am able to solve the questions which other students find difficult but in a simple question, i go wrong.
