I was considering minimizing the time taken for the car, the third inequality.

Usually the cost function ( the one you have to minimize) is given as an equation not an inequality. How did you minimize it?

That's right, I stripped out the inequality part from that and applied to check the time required!

Tried something and got the answer.

Also tried varying the maximum hours for the constraints in geogebra by plotting the inequalities.

Trials in geogebra, algebra gave the exact answer.
