Polyhedron Net Animations

After way too much coding time I have finally managed to fulfil an idea I had years ago of animating nets becoming polyhedra (folding and unfolding) for a few select polyhedra:

Polyhedron Net Animations

Comments/suggestions welcome!

Re: Polyhedron Net Animations

That's awesome.

I do not understand the drag feature...

It let's you rotate the shape by dragging ... but you have to drag the actual shape (not the background) so the mouse sometimes "slips off" the shape as it moves.

Got it.
Thanks smile

Re: Polyhedron Net Animations

Hi;

Very nice graphics. The cube seems to distort when viewed with anything other than glass or beams. Is it just me?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: Polyhedron Net Animations

It is probably a visual effect due to perspective, the coords are the same. I have also found that "Glass" is the best for me.

Okay, thanks.
