Re: Somebody please tell how to do these factorisation

Obviously a physicist or someone at the AOPS or someone at brilliant wrote that joke.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

My version or yours?

Post 50, is written by someone who does not like the teakettle principle. Did you read the whole thread I gave you?

Not yet.

Why should it be someone who does not like the teakettle?

Because unlike mine he makes the person get pneumonia so he is clearly an idiot, ergo a follower of the tp is an idiot.

Please read the thread.

Re: Somebody please tell how to do these factorisation

I will. But I am not mentally feeling ready for such a complicated math problem.

I did not get it from any website. It is the translation of a joke I found in a magazine years ago

I did not mean you. I mean the person who wrote it.

You do not have to read the math just the chatting.

Re: Somebody please tell how to do these factorisation

I am sorry.

But why do you think that if two people have different opinions, one if them is crazy?

That was a joke. I loved playing with those people and teasing them was my way of showing affection.

Re: Somebody please tell how to do these factorisation

hi bobbym here Agnishom solve all  the problems and he also given hints. i think still you have some confusion.I will explain clearly along with formulas

problem:x^4+8x^2+144
solution: [(x^2)^2+2(x^2)(12)+(12)^2]-16x^2    Formula:(a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2

here (x^2+12)^2 = (x^2)^2+2(x^2)(12)+12^2
If u solve this, the result be x^4+24x^2+144

But in the given question we have 8x^2, we got 24x^2 for that we are subtracting 16x^2 from our result

so the equation be [(x^2)^2+2(x^2)(12)+12^2]-16x^2

                             [(x^2+12)^2]-16x^2

                             (x^2+12)^2-(4x)^2      Formula(a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2

here a=x^2+12  b=4x,      [x^2+12+4x][x^2+12-4x]

Therefore[x^2+4x+12][x^2-4x+12]
