### Do you have what it takes to be an engineer in the Air Force?

http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/airforce/engineering/

Apparently, if you can solve the equation in the link above you have a chance at being an engineer in the Australian Government's Air-Force.

So, can you?

What the hell is that?
And there are 3 problems:
- I don't have an Australian residence/citizenship
- I am too read-a-holic and I hates going out of a building or house
- I have respiratory problems most of the time

That cannot stop you from solving the puzzle

hi

I'm assuming that the calculation leads to a many digit phone number.  OK, that's one, novel way of weeding out unsuitable candidates.  Hope they got it right themselves or some poor soul is going to get a lot of unwanted wrong numbers.

I have the solution, but I do not know if that is really their number.

Oh, and, it has 6 digits.

Yes. And right near the beginning there should be a huge math expression.

### Re: Do you have what it takes to be an engineer in the Air Force?

Hi anonimnystefy;

Okay, I have the answer, thanks. I have called up and attempted to join. I told them their problem amounted to little more than kaboobly doo and that I can solve (kaboobly doo)^2 type problems effortlessly. They seemed impressed until I told them my age. I heard a lot of inaudible conversation on the other side. Finally, they said no. Oh well, I can try again next year.

Hi Bob;

Of course I know where Australia is, I have a rich cousin there. Yes you guessed it, phrontisterm.

Of course. When I dialed it I got Brigadier Major General Scott Mackenzie.

There is a two digit prefix for dialing him out of the country. Did you read post #14?

Intelligent? Probably not. I am considered to be the idiot of my family. I do not like uniforms.

New Idea: You will spray all your soldiers with a type of smell to identify that they are yours. That way you won't need visual uniforms
