Another hard puzzle but this one is trickier

One day a engineer was ordered by his boss to measure the length of a road. However, the engineer had only a single piece of rope which he didn't know the length of.What he did learn was that if he stretched this rope out 30 times it would be 2m long. But if he did it 29 times it was 4m short.

Can you figure out the length of both the rope and the road?dunnofaint

Is that harder for you mathsy?

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Correct mathsyperson!  espeon, you are going to have to get significantly tougher questions if you want to emulate ganesh!  But you have posted enough questions to pique my interest.

I am at an age where I have forgotten more than I remember, but I still pretend to know it all.
