Vivid Sydney

Has anyone seen seen this? I've just been watching it.

An incredibly spectacular, eye-catching display on the buildings of the Opera House by the Sydney Harbour! smile

You can get control of the video cam yourself and use the controls to pan, tilt and zoom the camera...to see the Sydney Harbour Bridge if you pan left, and Circular Quay to the right.

I didn't know about this festival, but I do know it would be terrific to be there right now. I've been on the ferries that you can see going past, and loved it! smile

Hi phrontister;

It is night there so my view is limited.

Anyway, I will soon be making a trip to the Pacific. There I will board a whaling schooner. Like the great Humphrey Van Weyden I shall make my way to ancient and foreign lands, clubbing seals as I go. The "Land of Tomorrow," will be my final port of call.

Then I will trek across the great continent known as Australia, asking everyone I meet if they know the legendary phrontister. Thusly, I shall track down my cousin m.

You could try to coincide your trip with bobbym's and Emily316's, and we could all take the ferry and sail past the Opera House one balmy evening and grab some of the atmosphere! smile

I stayed near Sydney Harbour for a week once and took the ferry every day to a different spot around the harbour, where there are terrific walks and views. You can buy a multi-trip ticket that lasts about a week for any (I think) public transport, and I just about lived on those great old ferries.

Sydney seems like a good holiday spot, but I wouldn't like to live there. I'm a bit of a country boy, and Sydney is just too busy and big for me.

Re: Vivid Sydney

Hi Bobby,

I think the best viewing time would be around 8pm Sydney time, as the night is pitch black then and the city is still well and truly alive.

Re: Vivid Sydney

I figured you are more at home in the country and so am I. It is a beautiful continent.
