Counting men illusion

Wait a few seconds for the picture to change, and you'll see a different number of men in the two pics. smile

Yes, I see it. What do I do next?

Re: Counting men illusion

Sorry...got too excited about the fact that the gif worked and forgot to ask my question, which is:

How, just by swapping the top-left segment with the top-right, does the number of men in the picture change?

I do not know how but the guy in the top row second from the left appears and disappears. He might be an alien.

Re: Counting men illusion

Hi Bob,

That's a snapshot of my cousins at a family get-together. As you know, bobbym and I are related and you can even see him there, dropping in from time to time. He only hangs around for about 13 seconds before he's off again.............and back again.............and off again...

And yes, that is the correct answer/explanation. up

Re: Counting men illusion

Hi;

As you know, bobbym and I are related

There are many who would wish that were true. That they too could be related to me. But sadly for the human condition my bloodline is rather sparsely spread.

Anyway, I will soon be making a trip to the Pacific. There I will board a whaling schooner. Like the great Humphrey Van Weyden I shall make my way to ancient and foreign lands, clubbing seals as I go. The "Land of Tomorrow," will be my final port of call.

Then I will trek across the great continent known as Australia, asking everyone I meet if they know the legendary phrontister. Thusly, I shall track down my cousin m.

Re: Counting men illusion

Can one outside the dimension of "tomorrow" ever set foot on that 'tomorrow-land' and meet up with one of its residents who is always a day ahead of the rest? If so, I'll look forward to our meeting and have a deluxe wheelchair and shock-absorber crutches ready.

At 27 what do you need with crutches and wheelchairs? Why when I was your age I was literally jumping over trees.

28. I've aged a year since 27. Creaking already! (shouldn't have run that marathon, I guess)
That would be 'dwarf Bonsai trees'.

Re: Counting men illusion

Yes, but they are very prickly if you do not clear them. Also, there is the danger of overconfidence. People see a little Bonsai tree and think they will automatically hurdle over it. Those are the ones who end up dead from a prickly Bonsai tree.

A marathon?

Overnight I aged 3.7037037037%. No wonder I creaked on my birthday! sad

If I'd turned 38 I would only have aged 2.7027027027%, so the older you are the less noticeable the effect...for more reason than one!

By what percentage did you age at your last birthday, Bobby? (to 10 decimal places)

Re: Counting men illusion

Why not make a puzzle to get that percentage? Or a combinatorics problem.

No...I turned 28 a while back.

Sorry, if I reveal that everyone would know my age.

I was hoping you'd read my question in your sleep. sad Or do you sleep with one eye open?

How about just to 2 decimal places, then?
