Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopNVIDIA is preffered 'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.' 'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it' 'Who are you to judge everything?' Alokananda #3 20130520 20:00:06
Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopRadeon used to be superior but I agree, go with NVidia. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #4 20130520 21:26:41
Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopMany games want NVIDIA 'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.' Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopMathematica can use Cuda to greatly speed up computation. Cuda is a NVidia card feature. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6 20130520 21:31:32
Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopThanks for the reply. Debjit Roy ___________________________________________________ The essence of mathematics lies in its freedom Georg Cantor #7 20130520 21:35:41
Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopThanks Agnishom and also thanks to bobbym for that information about CUDA Debjit Roy ___________________________________________________ The essence of mathematics lies in its freedom Georg Cantor #8 20130520 21:42:08
Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopI do not have any experience with those cards but price would also figure in. I have Radeons and they are dogs. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9 20130521 01:58:52
Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopI already saw that... Debjit Roy ___________________________________________________ The essence of mathematics lies in its freedom Georg Cantor #10 20130521 12:16:09

Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopWell after more search I found Nvidia 730M doesn't support four non gaming DirectX 11.1 features ,two of them are for 2D which I don't need in my 3D programming and other two seems to be not very useful for my 3D work. The plus point of nvidia is I get features like Optimus, PhysX, CUDA, 3D Vision, FXAA, TXAA, OpenCL, Direct Compute, and much more which could be explored in 3D programming... Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopYou must have found the price okay. Will you just purchase a laptop with it installed or install on your own? In mathematics, you don't understand things. Re: Which Graphic Card and LaptopI will purchase a laptop (Dell Inspiron 14R) with it installed. The over all cost seems ok. Debjit Roy ___________________________________________________ The essence of mathematics lies in its freedom Georg Cantor #14 20130522 05:18:02
