### Make 1,234 using the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 only

Can you do that? You can use any number up to two times only, and you have to use all the numbers. Okay? Any operations allowed, especially factorials, exponents, etc.

Hi;

If we can use any operation then the answer is 1234, concantenation used on 1,2,3,4.

Without that operation, I am not finding any yet. Maybe there are none.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.

Then we will go with the concat solution.

Thanks for that! But there might be another solution.

Uses all numbers exactly twice.

Hmmm. Now to try to do it using them once only.

It took several edits before my posted version looked like my paper version.  Final offering has a smiley face.

hi julianthemath

Where did you get the avatar?

Made the still picture in Sketchpad, did a screen shot into Paint, then imported it to Flash and animated it as a GIF.

Hardest bit was getting it the right size (80 by 80) .

There are 1235 square roots in there.
