Re: Prime sum of three term arithmetic progression?

It is lucky that you have not. It is a dilly.

Sure looks like it.

Re: Prime sum of three term arithmetic progression?

It is a type of problem that occurs frequently and I have never really solved one, a simultaneous gf!!!!!

Re: Prime sum of three term arithmetic progression?

Yep, 20 of them for that problem!

What are simultaneous gfs?

Re: Prime sum of three term arithmetic progression?

That is a good question. The problem leads to 20 diophantine equations. Every diophantine equation of the linear type can be represented by a gf. Now they have to be solved in relation to each other to get the number of solutions for the entire system.

Re: Prime sum of three term arithmetic progression?

I am looking for a way to represent the whole thing with one multivariate gf.

Re: Prime sum of three term arithmetic progression?

I have not been having much luck with any approach at the moment.

That is what I wrote, but the forum tirns it lower case automatically.

Apparently posts containing only upper-case words are changed to lower case (other than each word's first letter), but upper-case words in mixed-case posts keep their case.
