Suppose you sample 1 value from a uniform distribution with a = 0, b = 20.

What is the probability that the value will be between 13 & 19?

Can someone also please explain this? I'm having a lot of trouble with this probability chapter atm..

Any help would be much appreciated..

hi MathNewbie22,

Welcome to the forum.

The graph below shows the pdf for a uniform distribution running from 0 to 20.

The area under the graph must be 1, so the y coordinate for the density is 1/20 = 0.05

You want the area shaded.
