Let’s rephrase the original cookies question in a different way. Suppose the 14 cookies are lined up in a row. What is the probability that the 7th cookie from the left is a chocolate-chip one?

That's right! The other methods produce that answer too. If you program it you will get the same answer. They just are not necessary.
