In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.

A triangular pyramid has 3 vertices on the base and one more at the top = 4 altogether.

A triangular prism has 3 vertices to make one end, another 3 at the other end so 6 altogether.
