hi Mandy

No that's not right.

This is what I want to see:

The sum is inside Latex command brackets like this:

`[math]2 + 2 = 4[/math]`

Still not right. It has to be square brackets. On my keyboard they are next to letter P.

Yes it is. Hurray!

Now for a sum:

`[math]\frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{4}[/math]`

I've got to go out for about an hour but you can carry on practising with some that you make up for yourself. I'll take a look when I get back.

Have a look at what came out in post 442. It isn't quite right is it?

Latex can be very fussy about spaces in the wrong places.

You can edit a post. Picture below shows what to click.

Then you click submit again to send the new version.

Then post another reply because new posts make a beep on my computer so I'll know you've done it.

Still not working.

Just one [math at the start and [\math] at the end.

I suggest you click on the Math button to save time. (see picture)
