Re: 4-D cube!Looks like a good prototype for a load carrying robot! But where would one put the load? Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. #3 2013-02-08 19:00:37
Re: 4-D cube!hi mathgogocart
Well it's 4-D, so 'on the inside' of course. he he! You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #4 2013-02-08 19:04:20
Re: 4-D cube!On which inside? The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #5 2013-02-08 21:52:22
Re: 4-D cube!
There's only one inside on a hypercube. You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #6 2013-02-08 22:00:19
Re: 4-D cube!Ah, you're right! The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #7 2013-02-08 22:14:26
Re: 4-D cube! It'd be easy to tell when you were inside. You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #8 2013-02-08 22:18:53
Re: 4-D cube!Actually, you cannot exactly see cubes, but that's besides the point... The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #9 2013-02-09 00:00:58
Re: 4-D cube! You can if you're a pan-dimensional being You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #10 2013-02-09 01:39:47
Re: 4-D cube!Unfortunately, I am not... The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #11 2013-02-10 03:37:46
Re: 4-D cube!that would have tons of potential in real life.........too bad we dont have 4-d vision.... woosh! woosh! bye as I go to Kanto. #12 2013-02-10 11:20:16
Re: 4-D cube!Maybe we could use a "Klein bottle" for the robot and put the load on the side. Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. #13 2013-02-10 12:31:22

Re: 4-D cube!
Which side? The limit operator is just an excuse for doing something you know you can't. “It's the subject that nobody knows anything about that we can all talk about!” ― Richard Feynman “A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón #15 2013-02-11 04:56:48
Re: 4-D cube! What's cool is that the side we're seeing in motion is really staying on the same part of the hypercube. It just looks like it's moving because of the limits of 3D space. Rotating in 4D has a weird effect on its 3D shadow. :3. #16 2013-02-11 08:40:55
Re: 4-D cube!Hi stefy! Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional). LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make. |
