Note the complex sentence structure.

He doesn't actually say simply "That is incorrect".

He only asks a question.  I suspect someone is being misleading here.  :Sherlock Holmes smiley face.

Yes I know, I have had that feeling about everyone for a long time. But I do not mind.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Well here is a riddle then. 10 times some power members age + 2 is my age.

Re: How old are you bobbym?

hi mathgogocart

Ingenious.  But don't expect it to be that easy.

Firstly, he didn't say which power member, just some ......

Secondly, he carefully omitted to declare which number base this calculation is in.

Nice avatar btw.  smile

Re: How old are you bobbym?

Well, it is certainly not in a base less than 10, because that would be too many years (102 yrs. for base 9 if the member is 9...).

And, I don't think the base is greater than 36, because the is no standard notation for greater bases...

Yes, I wonder what base he was thinking of also. I will ask him the next time he is in town.
