A Nice Clock
'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.' 'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it' 'The whole person changes, why can't a habit?' -65 #2 2013-01-26 14:15:53
Re: A Nice Clocklog base e of 55 is too big for 4, should be 54.5981500331 Imagine for a moment that even an earthworm may possess a love of self and a love of others. #3 2013-01-26 19:24:03
Re: A Nice ClockTen is the the acceleration of Earth's gravity, 9.82 m/s/s. Some versions of this clock have it written as so it equals 10 exactly.Eleven is written in hexadecimal. In decimal, we have numbers 1 to 9, but in hexadecimal, as well as 1 to 9 there's 'a' to 'f' so you can keep counting: a equals ten, b equals eleven and so on. The zero at the front of '0b' doesn't make any difference here. It's just like writing the number three (in decimal) as 03. Last edited by muxdemux (2013-01-26 19:27:42) #4 2013-01-28 00:15:07

Re: A Nice ClockHi Agnishom; In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #6 2013-01-28 00:53:29
Re: A Nice ClockNice Clock,Agnishom.I WANT THAT CLOCK *buys* woosh! woosh! bye as I go to Kanto. #7 2013-01-28 04:37:22

Re: A Nice Clock
I was talking about 6.9999.... which is exactly 7 and not a round-off of it 'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.' 'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it' 'The whole person changes, why can't a habit?' -65 #12 2013-01-28 21:55:20
Re: A Nice ClockI get it... just like 1/3 is never exact, it's 3.333333333 but then it would have to be the only 1/3. Is that it? - n872yt3r Math Is Fun Rocks! By the power of the exponent, I square and cube you! #13 2013-01-29 00:56:58
Re: A Nice ClockYes, its like that ... "the recurring decimal" 'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.' 'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it' 'The whole person changes, why can't a habit?' -65 |
