I need help in fraction problems for example:
in my homework they asked me, " what is 1 over 100 as a percent.
and they give you the answer choices of 5.1% 51% 510% 5100% or nh.
how do you change the fraction 1 over 100 to one of the choices they give you?:)
how to do these things because my teacher hasn't taught us that yet.

Ahem. 1/100 as a percent is 1%. Percent means "out of 100", so if you have any number divided by 100, then the numerator is the percent.
Of course, that's not one of your choices, unless "nh" is supposed to mean "not here," in which case I would pick that.

Let's do an easy one.
What is the number 2 in percent.
2 is 2.000000, so move the decimal point
over to the right by two spots.
2.00000000000 becomes 200.0000000000000000000000
So the answer is 200 percent.
2 is 200 percent.
Always move the decimal place over rightward 2 spots.

Now let's do 3 over 7 as a percent.
Use long hand division to divide
3 by 7 shown below.
So 0.4285 becomes
042.85 when move decimal to the right two spots.
42.85% Yeah!!

As the question stands, 1 over 100 (1/100) is exactly 1%, so I don't know where those answers came from
51/1000 = 5.1%
51/100 = 51%
51 = 5100%

The answer is supposed to be nh, because 1/100 equals 1%.
Just remember that /100 is the %.
Like: 50/100 = 50%
